Profile:

I am a trainee associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer commencing my training contract in February 2024. Prior to this, I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2017 and practiced as a lawyer in Malaysia for a few years. In 2023, I took the leap to move back to London and restart my career as a solicitor in the City.

I am keenly aware of the obstacles that one might experience when embarking on a legal career, especially if you have a non-traditional background or are a newcomer to the UK. Throughout my journey, I have found that what helped me the most was the guidance I received through networks such as Aspiring Solicitors. As such, I am more than happy to share my experience in navigating this landscape and to provide support in relation to your applications.

I am passionate about increasing diversity within the legal sector, and I am committed to helping Aspiring Solicitors members to embrace their unique backgrounds as a strength in their training contract applications, rather than perceiving it as a barrier.
