Diversity at Stephenson Harwood:

Our network groups
Our employee networks are for, and run by, our people. They create a sense of belonging by celebrating diversity, connecting people across the business and working with the community. Colleagues across the business contribute to fostering our inclusive and healthy culture by joining our employee networks:

  • Enable (disability and neurodiversity)
  • Gender equality
  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Shout (LGBTQ+)
  • Social mobility
  • SHARED (Stephenson Harwood Advancing Racial and Ethnic Diversity)

“The SHout network is important to me as it’s a place where LGBTQ+ people and allies can get to know and support each other in the firm. It brings people together, offering a stronger voice than individuals alone. We help to influence change across the firm by ensuring that new policies are inclusive to our LGBTQ+ colleagues.”

Darren Fodey, partner sponsor of SHout, our LGBTQ+ network.

“The SHARED network is for everyone who is interested in increasing ethnic minority representation within the firm and also creating spaces for ethnic minority employees. This may be because you are one yourself or an ally, but it’s important for everyone in the firm to be championing all diversity, including racial diversity, and to take an active step to achieve this and joining the network is one tangible way of doing this. My favourite event was our Black History Month event in October. We invited Black poets to attend and perform their work in relation to Black history. It evoked interesting discussions and was a great way to listen to the voices of Black spoken word artists writing in today’s times.”

Zahrah Kazim, Co-chair of SHARED, our racial and ethnic diversity network.
