Profile:
The majority of my secondary education was spent at a struggling state school before moving to a private school for sixth form (on the basis of an academic scholarship). I went on to study history at the University of Oxford and took a gap year after graduating to apply for training contracts; upon securing a training contract at Bristows, I proceeded to study the GDL and LPC at BPP University. I sat in various departments at Bristows during my training contract, including Commercial IP/IT/Data; Brands, Designs and Copyright; Patent Litigation; Real Estate and Life Sciences Regulatory, and was seconded as a trainee to Google’s International Litigation team for three months. I qualified into Bristows’ data protection team in September 2024.
Diversity and inclusion have always been issues close to my heart, especially having been raised in a working-class family (both my parents work in the hospitality sector) and as a second-generation immigrant. I had few role models growing up who looked like me and that came from a similar background, and it has always been an aspiration of mine to be the role model that I did not have when I was younger.
