Profile:

I studied Law at Cardiff University and graduated with First Class Honours. I left university at a time when my friends and peers were securing training contracts and I, to be frank, was not getting very far. Following graduation, I decided to gain some legal experience in order to substantiate my CV and applications; I spent six months at a regional personal injury firm before moving to a larger insurance-focused practice.

In hindsight, both experiences were invaluable in securing my training contract at Simmons & Simmons where I am due to start from September 2020 (LPC from September 2019), but I honestly and truly could not have done it without the help of Aspiring Solicitors. For example, I received open and frank advice following mock interviews and through events such as HeadStart.

With AS’ assistance, I was fortunate enough to secure numerous vacation schemes and subsequent training contract offers. Given that I am an individual from a single-parent, low income family, I feel very fortunate to be in the position that I am in. Growing up, I was arguably never expected to secure a training contract at an international, market-leading practice like Simmons.

In light of my previous experience, I cannot stress enough to everyone that you can all achieve your goals if you put the hard work in. Coupled with AS’ help, you will be successful.
