My Law Firm

Profile:

I graduated from the University of Essex with a first class honours degree in Law with Human Rights in 2018. After completing the accelerated LPC at BPP University Law School, I started my training contract at Freshfields in 2019.

I started to explore commercial law during my first year, and recognised early on that gaining access to the top commercial law firms as a student at a Non-Russell group university might be more challenging. I resolved to raise my profile and learn more about different firms by attending open/insight days, workshops and training sessions organised by law firms. I also signed up to diversity initiatives such as Aspiring Solicitors, who were very supportive throughout my journey to gaining my vacation schemes and training contract offers. The opportunities that Aspiring Solicitors provided me with enabled me to gain a better understanding of the legal industry, and how best to articulate myself on application forms and during assessment centres.

I know that entering the legal profession can seem very daunting, particularly for people who are under-represented in the industry. I am very fortunate to have gained this opportunity to start my legal career, and would love to support others in any way that I can. Please get in touch with any questions at all or if you just want to talk something through, and I will try to help or direct you to those who can.
