Profile:
I grew up in East London and attended a non-selective state school before securing a place at the University of Oxford (also being within the first generation in my family to attend university).
During my time at university, I became heavily involved in social mobility-related outreach work. This included a term as President of the 93% Club (state school society), University of Oxford branch, as well as access ambassador positions within Christ Church college. I was given a Social Mobility ‘Changemakers’ award for my efforts during this time.
I went on to graduate from the University of Oxford with a First, complete the PGDL (law conversion course) with Distinction, and pass both SQE1&2 in the Top Quintile. I started my training contract at A&O Shearman in summer 2025.
From a social impact perspective more broadly, I have also been heavily involved in housing-related initiatives, from legal pro bono work for North Kensington Law Centre’s housing team (via a BPP Law School collaboration) to fundraising and volunteering for charities fighting homelessness.
I view diversity (including, for example, a socially mobile workforce) as pivotal to the success of the legal industry going forwards, and am keen to support the next generation of lawyers.
