Profile:

I am an Associate in Ashurst’s Disputes & Investigations Department. Growing up, I attended a comprehensive state school in London and grew up in a Council flat to a single mother. At 16, I was able to benefit from a social mobility programme that gave me access to the commercial world, which I’m immensely grateful for.

After school, I attended the University of Manchester to study Law with Politics. Throughout university, I completed vacation schemes at several law firms and was a Risk Paralegal at Taylor Wessing LLP before starting my training contract at Ashurst.

My background has often made me feel like an imposter, but I remain committed to diversity within the legal profession and act as an active member of Ashurst’s social mobility and black networks. Diversity in law is exceptionally important, as to have a just legal system, we must ensure all types of people are represented. People should not be prevented from succeeding simply because of their background, so please reach out if you would like any advice!
