Profile:

I attended a comprehensive state school in London. I then went to the University of Manchester to study Law with Politics. Throughout university, I completed vacation schemes at Herbert Smith Freehills, Irwin Mitchell and Mishcon de Reya; and in my final year I obtained a training contract at silver circle firm, Ashurst. After I graduated, I returned to London and did a short placement in the HMRC Risk & Intelligence Services team, before getting a role as Risk Paralegal at International Law firm Taylor Wessing LLP. I completed my training contract at Ashurst, and am now an Associate at the firm.

I think diversity is exceptionally important in all sectors, but especially in the legal profession because to have a just legal system, we must ensure all types of people are represented. People should not be prevented from succeeding simply because of their background.
