My Law Firm

Profile:

As a state school educated, first generation graduate and lawyer with a regional accent, statistics would not necessarily be in favour of me succeeding within the legal profession. Despite this I completed my training contract with Baker McKenzie in March 2020 and qualified into Baker McKenzie’s Employment team.

My involvement with Aspiring Solicitors came to fruition when I entered the 2015/16 Commercial Awareness Competition during my second year of studying law at the University of Nottingham. The support and guidance I was given by Aspiring Solicitors and the opportunities which we were exposed to by the sponsoring firms proved invaluable, and ensured that I was prepared for any given commercial based interview. Furthermore, having attending other workshops provided by Aspiring Solicitors, such as the VS+ event, I was able to receive tailored guidance on how to flourish during my vacation scheme and on how to successfully turn this into a training contract.

As a professional ambassador, I would like to be able to utilise my experience from numerous assessment centres and vacation schemes, the knowledge I have gained from Aspiring Solicitors and experts within the profession, as well as to share my own personal tips to ensure that others succeed too! Whether you are looking for advice about applying to Baker McKenzie, or more general advice, I am more than happy to help, so feel free to drop me a message.
