Whether it has been the AS Aspire programme, access to open days in my first year of university where firms wouldn’t bother too much with northern universities or the AS CAC, AS has always provided the connections and support I’ve needed for my career to become achievable. I was in the BLEW (Barclays) experience week in 2019 having been in the waitlist and ended up winning the pitch and being invited back and to the CC offices to celebrate.
Having sat in the competition division at Barclays (on BLEW 2019), I learnt about secondments and multiple relationships between private and in-house practice. I’m now sat in Antitrust at Freshfields with my first seat having been in Financial Institutions. It’s full-circle.
AS has had direct positive impact on my career. Confidence has been a key thing that AS has always provided a platform for me to develop.
