Profile:
I am committed to fostering a more inclusive workplace in law and reducing the stigma around disability and neurodiversity. I am also the first generation in my family to go to university, graduating as an engineer and then doing a complete U-turn to study law which was (and still is!) the best decision I ever made.
I was diagnosed with dyslexia later in my life (whilst completing my law degree). My earlier years in education were exceptionally difficult, but my diagnosis propelled me and gave me the confidence I needed to achieve what I felt at the time was the impossible i.e. qualify as a solicitor.
Qualifying as a solicitor is only part of the challenge and despite all the training, nothing prepares you properly for the world post-qualification as a practicing solicitor. It is tough, hugely demanding, but incredibly rewarding.
