I am genuinely honoured and very proud to have won the All Star Firm: Professional Ambassador award this year. I’ve been working with Aspiring Solicitors for over five years since I first began my career at Bristows, and AS’ cause of helping to improve diversity within the legal profession is one I am immensely passionate about.
When I was first looking to enter the legal profession, I did not have the legal contacts to draw on to ask questions and get advice, whether about the interview and application process, or simply appropriate professional dress! I know many people today find themselves in the same position and so I am delighted to help in any way I can through the Professional Ambassadors programme. There are thousands of outstanding individuals out there who could (and will) undoubtedly make outstanding lawyers but who may be put off, not have the confidence to, or make avoidable mistakes when looking to enter the profession. This is why I will unconditionally be a part of the Professional Ambassador scheme for life (or at least as long as my advice is relevant!) to offer any support and advice I can to potential candidates to help them along the way. To any AS members, I’d encourage you to make use of the Professional Ambassadors programme, it is a great resource and everyone on there is willing to help – so don’t hesitate to get in touch.
