Profile:

Coming from a single-parent household, I studied Law at the University of Salford with a Professional Placement Year at Shoosmiths LLP. With faith and hard-work, I fortunately finished with a First-Class Degree and a Paralegal role in the industry.

During my time at university, representation for people who looked like me in the legal workplace became a real passion of mine, so I became a founding member of the ‘Salford Strivers’ Society. This society was built on the experiences of state-school candidates navigating the search for legal opportunities. The society was formed to help bridge the gap between the socially marginalised students and careers in Law. Furthermore, I worked closely with my university to better the experiences of BAME students as a Student Partner to the BAME Student Network Leadership Committee.

Diversity to me, is something to be identified and celebrated. It enhances creative and innovative ways of practice, through the unique experiences and perspectives of individuals and so should be important to us all.
