My diversity networks

Profile:

I am a senior associate in the structured finance team at Baker & McKenzie’s London office.  I focus on structures which are typically more involved than your typical bank loan – securitisations, bond issues or any structure that helps a company transfer risk to third parties.

I was state school educated before undertaking a law degree at the University of Bristol.  As a trainee I completed seats, amongst others, in Singapore and Bahrain, and upon qualification moved to Baker & McKenzie as part of a team to help establish its structured finance practice in London.  Given the global presence of Baker & McKenzie, the majority of my transactions involve clients and assets around the world, which means there is always something new to think about!

I am an active member of BakerWomen, Baker & McKenzie’s diversity group aimed at promoting female inclusion and diversity across our London office.  I am also passionate about encouraging people from all walks of life to enter the legal profession  – to make sure that future lawyers are not be put off by perceived difficulties relating to gender, background, ethnicity, religion, sexuality or any other moniker that makes someone “different”.  Each of these “tags” make us who we – the more we can do to break down any perceived barriers the more diverse and rich the legal profession will be.
