Profile:

I’m passionate about increasing diversity in the legal profession, having won the LawCareers.Net Law Society Awards ‘Most Committed to Increasing Diversity Award’ in 2020 due to my work at the University of Nottingham organising law firm panel discussion events aimed at various diversity strands.

During my time at university, I attended numerous Aspiring Solicitors events and open days such at HeadStart into Vacation Schemes and open days with firms such as Freshfields, Herbert Smith Freehills and BCLP. These opportunities gave me an incredible understanding of what I should be writing in my applications and what life at a commercial law firm would be like. These insights were invaluable to someone like myself who is the only person in my wider family to have attended university.

Using this knowledge, I secured a training contract at CMS which I commenced in September 2024 after completing the LLM (SQE1&2) course at the University of Law. I am passionate about helping others navigate the SQE course, particularly as someone who required to work part-time throughout to supplement my living costs.
