Profile:

I am currently a Trainee Solicitor in the Restructuring and Insolvency team at Irwin Mitchell, having commenced my training contract in August 2022.

I have taken a fairly conventional route into law – I studied for my undergraduate law degree at the University of Liverpool and then completed the LPC LLM at the University of Law.

After graduating, I secured a paralegal position in the Commercial Real Estate team at an international law firm. Whilst I was working, I was trying to secure a training contract and successfully obtained an offer from Irwin Mitchell after completing their Legal Work Placement.

As a woman from an ethnic minority background, diversity is incredibly important to me. My journey into securing a training contract was not easy and I found networks such as Aspiring Solicitors extremely valuable during my search. I would like to return the favour and offer any support I can to other aspiring lawyers.
