Profile:

I studied Law at University of Nottingham before completing the LPC at University of Law, Birmingham. I secured a training contract with Blake Morgan a year later and started my training contract in 2021 at their London office.

As a gay man, I definitely had some apprehensions starting out in what I thought was quite a traditional and conservative sector. However, since joining Blake Morgan I have felt completely comfortable and relaxed in being myself and love working in a truly supportive and open environment. The culture we have at Blake Morgan encourages a diverse range of people to collaborate and share their perspectives, which has really supported my training and development.

I have particularly enjoyed being a member of BM Pride. This is our thriving LGBTQ+ and allies network. BM Pride works hard to encourage and foster an inclusive, supportive and representative work force at Blake Morgan and hosts a number of social events and discussion topics. In March 2022, we will be hosting a discussion with LGBTQ+ representatives (identifying across the gender spectrum) to explore the topic of gender, whether it is an outdated concept and the importance for the legal professional to understand and eliminate gender bias. I will be co-chair of this event and have loved being given the opportunity to encourage such important discussions.
