I am currently a trainee at Herbert Smith Freehills, having commenced my training contract in March 2022. Before that, I pursued my undergraduate studies in History at the University of Warwick and subsequently completed the GDL and LPC at BPP University.

My journey began working at McDonald’s, followed by a host of other jobs in various retail stores and even running a start-up. While it may be considered quite an unorthodox journey for a city lawyer, it was the skills and experiences I learned from these experiences that helped me succeed as a lawyer. I learned that coming from a diverse background is a strength that should be showcased as opposed to hidden. This should be used to our advantage; to view things from a different perspective, apply our varied skillset, and share our distinct experiences.
