Formula 1®, in partnership with Aspiring Solicitors, is offering an exclusive summer vacation scheme for first-year law students from underrepresented groups in its legal department. The purpose of this scheme is to help improve diversity and representation in the legal profession.
This is a unique chance to be part of the exhilarating environment of Formula 1® and to gain experience with a high-performing in-house legal department undertaking a broad range of commercial work.

Eligibility
To apply for this opportunity, you must:
- be an Aspiring Solicitors member;
- be a first-year law undergraduate (i.e. you started university in September/October 2025 and will begin your second year in September/October 2026);
- be from an ethnic minority background;
- be from a lower socio-economic background, by meeting at least two of the following criteria: Having parent(s) or guardian(s) employed in routine or manual occupations (i.e. roles that do not usually require a university degree); having been eligible for free school meals; having attended a non-selective state school; being the first in your family to attend university;
- have the right to work in the UK;
- have a strong interest in pursuing a legal career within a commercial law firm or in-house legal team; and
- not have accepted a training contract with any law firm or legal team.
