Profile:

I am an associate in Davis Polk’s corporate practice in London, advising on a range of private and public mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. I joined the firm as a trainee in 2018, following my undergraduate law degree at King’s College London.

Aspiring Solicitors was a great help to me during university, and increased my exposure to the legal profession in the city. Such exposure is essential to anyone pursuing a legal career, in order to build connections and feel more at home in a corporate environment. Starting with no previous links to the legal profession, such exposure can be difficult to come by, so making use of Aspiring Solicitors’ numerous events at law firms can serve as the first important steps in a legal career.

Diversity is crucial to the success of any organisation – the best teams are comprised of people who are diverse in many ways. Equal opportunity and access is the key to greater diversity in the legal profession – and an area in which although progress has been made, there is still a long way to go. Everyone in the field should be committed to creating more opportunities and widening access, so as ultimately to leave the legal profession in a better, more successful and diverse state than when they joined.

I would be happy to help answer any questions, and offer general advice regarding applications for vacations schemes and training contracts at City law firms. Please do feel free to drop me a line.
