Profile:

I studied Law with French and Italian at Glasgow Univerity and did a Masters Degree in Human Rights Law before starting my traineeship at Pinsent Masons. I’ve been with the firm ever since then and qualified in 2005 into the Employment and Reward team in London, where I worked for around 7 years before moving back to Scotland. I gradually carved out a niche for myself as the go-to person for complex discrimination claims, including equal pay claims. I headed up our pay transparency specialism, which encompasses equal pay issues, as well as pay gap reporting aand this remains a key workstream for me. The focus of my work naturally evolved from advising clients on the legal risks associated with these types of issues to providing strategic advice to clients on targeted actions to address those risks and to achieve their strategic objectives. I now co-head our global Equality Law team and form part of the firm’s wider ESG advisory group of which D&I is a key component.
