Profile:

I am currently Director of Diversity & Inclusion for the BGC Partners & Cantor Fitzgerald Group (the “Group”), a role I have held since January 2022. My remit encompasses D&I, organisational culture and values and employee engagement.

I was previously based within the Group’s Legal Department, my last role being Senior Legal Counsel for a number of years. I was seconded to the Group from my first job after university at a City law firm. I spent the majority of my time within Legal in the Employment Law team, regularly advising senior management, other internal clients and the HR team on aspects of employment law, employee relations, people projects and HR-related processes. In that time, I acquired significant experience of complex and high value litigation both in the Employment Tribunal and the High Court. In my last 2 years as a lawyer, I re-focused my remit to a wider spectrum of non-employment and commercial litigation, regulatory and competition investigations with the FCA, European Commission, HM Treasury and HMRC. I have also been on the Group’s Network of Women’s Steering Committee since 2018, formerly overseeing Education & Policy before assuming the Co-Chair role at the beginning of 2020. The Network of Women seeks to support the recruitment, development and retention of women across the BGC and Cantor Fitzgerald group of companies.
