When I came to the UK to study, I realised just how diverse the country is; many different cultures and backgrounds leading to many different ideas and perspectives. Operating in such a diverse environment helped me see things from different angles and realise just how crucial diversity is. I was therefore delighted to get involved with Aspiring Solicitors and set up Aspiring Solicitors at the University of Sussex. It proved a rewarding challenge that equipped me with transferable skills that not only helped me obtain a training contract, but which I use to this day.

Having had no legal contacts in the UK when studying, Aspiring Solicitors enabled me to meet legal professionals and therefore obtain an insight into what a career in law looks like. As an Ambassador, I hope to help others in the same way.
