Profile:

I went to a state school adjudged to require “special measures” of intervention for the duration of my time there. I was offered a scholarship at a local grammar school and later achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Law from Durham University.

During my time at sixth form, I completed a week’s work experience at Pinsent Masons and also completed the Vacation Scheme between my second and third years of University.

I was offered a Training Contract following the Vacation Scheme and I qualified into the Corporate Tax team in September 2023 having completed seats in Corporate, Corporate Tax, Banking and Commercial Real Estate.

It is important for people from all backgrounds to feel that success in their chosen area is a real possibility. By seeing and speaking to others that have started in a similar position from them, young people can be given hope that they are able to be successful and that entering, and being successful in, the legal profession is possible. Diversity is also important in terms of providing effective solutions to a wide range of clients globally. By ensuring that a diverse workforce feels valued and truly included, we are able to draw upon the perspectives and knowledge of others to collaboratively achieve effective, innovative solutions for clients.
