Profile:

I’m a Future Trainee at Bird & Bird, starting in September 2023. I attended a state school and went on to complete my law degree at the University of Warwick.

I’m an AS Professional Ambassador because I would love to try and help others on their journey to enter the legal profession. Whilst at university, I attended various Aspiring Solicitors workshops and used many of their services to improve my commercial awareness and develop key skills. It would be great to have the opportunity to share some hints and tips that I learnt and answer questions anyone may have.

Diversity and inclusion is incredibly important to me. My family originates from India, and we belong to the Sikh faith. As a British Asian, I understand that sometimes your background can feel like a barrier, especially when you don’t see many similar faces in the roles you aspire to be in. However, progress is being made, and whilst applying to Bird & Bird, my individual differences were seen as a strength within the team. Creating a more diverse workforce in the legal profession should be a key priority, and I would love to play a part in this.
