Profile:

I am currently a fourth-seat trainee in the Construction Advisory and Disputes team at Pinsent Masons, my previous three seats being Corporate, Financial Regulation and Projects, respectively. I studied Law at the University of BristolĀ  with a year abroad in Sciences Po, Paris and worked as a paralegal for a year after graduating in 2020. So far, I have really enjoyed the training contract. I’ve been given a lot of responsibility on a wide variety of matters which I’ve found both interesting and rewarding.

From my experience so far, the firm has been incredibly supportive of diversity initiatives and I’ve always felt able to bring my whole self to work. I am currently part of and have helped organise several initiatives and events aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion at the firm, such as the East and South East Asian (ESEA) network, the Barclays Social Mobility Event and a new diversity group mentoring initiative. I am also part of the East Asian Lawyers’ Organisation, an external network which the firm annually hosts events for.

As someone who has benefitted from having an Aspiring Solicitors mentor, I would love the chance to help those who are in the same position as I was during this competitive process.
