Profile:

I qualified as a corporate associate in Paul Hastings’s Structured Credit practice group in March 2019. As a trainee, I did seats in the FinTech/FinReg, Real Estate Finance, Structured Credit and Restructuring teams and went on a client secondment to Starwood Capital.

For a long time, I struggled with my dyspraxia and thought that it was going to prevent me from successfully pursuing a career in law. Back then, I was under the impression lawyers were a homogenous group of people, who were born thinking in a distinctive, linear way with super human levels of organisation. It was only when I attend the Aspiring Solicitors Disability Event while at law school that I realised just how wrong I was and that being neurodiverse could be a benefit rather than an obstacle for lawyers.

I’m so grateful to Aspiring Solicitors for their support and for organising so many amazing events and providing such a fantastic support network. One of the speakers I met at the Disability Event I talk to on a regular basis and the support that he and other members of the Aspiring Solicitors have provided has been invaluable and I’m very keen to support future lawyers just as I myself was supported.
