Profile:

I am a first seat trainee at Simmons & Simmons LLP having graduated from the University of York in 2016; completing the LPC at BPP University in 2017. I am a proud gay woman and the first generation of my family to attend university or pursue a career in law.

During the application process, AS was exceptional in supporting me to achieve my dream. I had no connections to the profession prior to applying for vacation schemes and AS provided numerous opportunities to network, visit international law firms and practise assessment skills. AS allows any individual, with the determination and commitment the opportunity to pursue their goals, regardless of who they are and where they come from, and I am so eager to help in any way I can to further this ethos.

AS provides so many different mediums of support and I sincerely encourage any aspiring solicitors to make the most of these fantastic opportunities. AS provided me with the hope and belief I could achieve my goal and I hope to pass this on by assisting anyone I can!

I would advise anyone and everyone to make the most of this invaluable organisation, if you are determined and committed, assistance is available to all. I look forward to hearing from you!
