“Aspiring Solicitors has always been a huge help to me throughout the journey. In the first year of my undergraduate degree, I participated in the AS First programme, which is a programme designed to provide first-year students with a comprehensive view of the legal industry and how students can improve themselves to stand out from the crowd.
This programme, coupled with the AS diversity law fair and the AS commercial awareness competition, equipped me with a very strong understanding of the industry as a whole and has hugely enhanced my confidence in applying to first-year programmes of firms. I further participated in the ASAP programme in the summer. The programme further enhanced my commercial awareness and ability to carry out legal research and equip me with the skills that are necessary to break into the legal industry.”
