Record number of universities in the Commercial Awareness Competition Final

With the 2019 Commercial Awareness Competition Final just days away, Aspiring Solicitors is delighted to announce that 17 universities will be represented by the final 25 competitors.

This year saw 1,350 diverse AS members from a record high 85 universities competing in Round 1 in October 2018 – which now feels like a distant memory! The competition has been whittled down to the best 25 candidates, all of whom have demonstrated their commercial acumen, passion and presentation skills throughout the 5 rounds so far. They are all vying for the top prize which is 5 weeks of work experience with the Competition’s sponsor firms – Dechert, Mayer Brown, Travers Smith, TLT and Barclays.

Swansea University, making a debut appearance in the Competition, makes it all the way to the last 25 and is joined by a formidable Non-Russell Group university line up accounting for 30% of universities represented in the Final.

The University of Bristol had an incredible 51 entries from its students with 2 reaching the final and competing for the top prize.
