Information about the Scheme

Aspiring Solicitors is delighted to be partnering with Hogan Lovells to deliver a mentoring scheme for Non-Russell Group Aspiring Solicitors members. You must have attended a Non-Russell Group university to be eligible for this scheme.

The mentoring scheme will run from mid-September 2025 (exact dates will be confirmed in due course) and will be virtual.  Please ensure that you meet all of the eligibility criteria below before applying.

Participants on the scheme will benefit from the invaluable opportunity of receiving mentoring advice from Hogan Lovells’ lawyers, as well as workshops providing you with application and interview advice. You’ll also find out more about why diversity and inclusion is important to the firm.

Deadline

The deadline to register your interest is 8 August 2025 at 1pm.

Please note: priority will be given to AS Members currently enrolled in our Aspire coaching programme. However, if an opportunity becomes available, we will be in touch with you.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this mentoring scheme. you must:

  • Be an Aspiring Solicitors member who is attending/has attended an Non Russell Group university;
  • Have secured AAB at A-Level and be on track to receive or have obtained a 2.1 in your degree (taking into account mitigating circumstances);
  • Be a law or non-law undergraduate in your penultimate year of study (or beyond) from September 2025;
  • Have a strong interest in becoming a commercial lawyer with a global law firm; and
  • Not have secured a training contract.
