Information about the Scheme

We are partnering with a leading global pharmaceutical company, AstraZeneca, and transatlantic law firm Covington. Participants on the scheme will benefit from invaluable mentoring from both in-house and private practice lawyers from AstraZeneca and Covington covering a range of commercial topics.

The scheme will run from Monday 27 January 2025 to Friday 18 April 2025 and will be open to both law and non-law graduates and postgraduates (please see the eligibility criteria below).

Please note this is not a full-time role – mentor and mentee sessions will be organised between mentors and mentees at mutually convenient times.

Words from AstraZeneca

“We love working with the high quality AS membership, helping to demystify the profession and increase commercial awareness. Our aim is to increase the diversity of the legal sector and it’s great to mentor alongside the top calibre Covington lawyers. It’s also really pleasing to hear of previous mentees who have gone on to secure training contracts or other fantastic roles.”

Words from Covington

“We are delighted to be partnering with our friends and colleagues at AstraZeneca and Aspiring Solicitors on another mentoring scheme. At Covington, we recognise the differences among us as an asset and a source of strength. We believe that excellence in the practice of law knows no racial, ethnic, gender, religious, sexual orientation, ability, or other boundaries and we embrace any opportunity to help to increase diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.”
