Information Meets Diversity

AS_partnership__Facebook copyWe are excited to announce a new partnership with LawCareers.Net designed to ensure that the most talented candidates with the greatest potential as lawyers maximise their chances of success. As two organisations with enormous strength and experience in their respective fields, the aim of the association is to complement one another in providing information, advice and support to both their audiences.

LawCareers.Net becomes Aspiring Solicitors’ Legal Careers Information Partner, while Aspiring Solicitors becomes LawCareers.Net’s Diversity Partner.

At the core of the partnership is the promotion of one another’s expertise though reciprocal content provision and referral for readers and members. However, there will also be a number of projects where we will directly collaborate to add further value. The first of these collaborations is the announcement that all 16 of Aspiring Solicitors’ mentees on its mentoring programme will be invited to attend CityLawLIVE or NationalLawLIVE, LawCareers.Net’s careers conferences held each December. Both conferences offer attendees a full day of intensive, high-value contact and interaction with top law firms. For more information on the mentoring scheme, please see

For more information about the partnership, please contact Matthew Broadbent at LawCareers.Net or Chris White at Aspiring Solicitors. And watch this space!

Aspiring Solicitors’ aim is to increase diversity in the legal profession through three key objectives: (i) providing free increased access opportunities and assistance to aspiring lawyers from all underrepresented groups; (ii) educating and informing the next generation of the legal profession about the importance of diversity; and (iii) promoting and increasing diversity within the legal profession. Aspiring Solicitors is the UK’s largest diversity platform specifically for law and in two years has created 3000+ legal opportunities for its members, resulting in 700+ vacation schemes and training contracts.

LawCareers.Net has been providing future lawyers with concise, comprehensive, independent information for nearly two decades. Whatever your education, background or stage in life, LawCareers.Net is the cornerstone for researching a legal career. The site contains extensive background information on the profession, news, profiles, features and the most comprehensive directories of training contract, pupillage and legal education opportunities available. Every user has access to a free personal account for managing their job search. A 2016 survey saw eight out of 10 new lawyers reporting that they had used one or both of LawCareers.Net and its sister print publication, The Training Contract & Pupillage Handbook.
