Hogan Lovells is a diverse global business, from Alicante to Zagreb you’ll find a Hogan Lovells office, or associated office in over 40 of the world’s most dynamic financial and business centres. The scale and reach of our network provides clients with a powerful global resource.

Our practice breadth, geographical reach and industry knowledge enable us to understand the issues affecting our clients and provide high quality advice in response.  Our approach is based around five practice groups and comprehensive coverage of industry sectors.  You can read more about our practice areas on our website at www.hoganlovells.com/graduates

As a global law firm we are committed to social and economic mobility initiatives to not only widen access to the legal profession generally but also to ensure our own talent pipeline is as diverse as possible.

The firm is a founder member of PRIME, the legal profession’s commitment to ensuring good quality work experience for people from non-traditional backgrounds, many of whom will be the first in their family to go to university.  At Hogan Lovells we also run our own Ladder to Law programme working with 10 schools in London where there are a high proportion of pupils who are from socially and economically challenged backgrounds.  Ladder to Law is all about breaking down perceived barriers to people who have not potentially thought about working towards going to university and have not had access to the legal profession.  The programme helps them realise that they can pursue their chosen career goals with encouragement and support from the Hogan Lovells lawyers who mentor them.

We are also involved in a range of social and economic mobility initiatives at university level, so when we were approached about Aspiring Solicitors the initiative was felt to be a good fit with our other social and economic mobility projects.  The focus on university level support means we shall be able to provide advice and inspiration to those taking part in Aspiring Solicitors who may be thinking about securing a training contract – with the ultimate goal of becoming a qualified international business lawyer.  We shall be supporting Chris and his team with university visits and general careers advice for those of you who become Aspiring Solicitors participants.  Our aim is to help you understand what is involved in making successful applications and how to navigate the many assessments and interviews you will need to go through in order to attain your career goals, whilst working to build your confidence at every stage.  Our trainee solicitors and qualified lawyers will also be on hand to talk about their own experiences and help you decide if commercial business law is right for you.
