Law School Attended
Future trainee solicitor | Norton Rose Fulbright
- Ethnic minority
- Non Russell Group
- International Student
I studied Law at the University of Kent, graduating in 2016. I then self-funded the LPC at BPP university completing the course in 2017. Most recently I completed a Masters in Law at the London School Of Economic and Political Science. Throughout my time at university I completed several work experiences ranging from small high street practices to large corporate entities such as Accenture and Barclays. I will commence my training contract in 2020 at Norton Rose Fulbright.
My experience is unique being that I am an international student. Having only arrived in the UK in 2013, I thought my lack of knowledge of the UK legal industry as well as attending a non-Russell group university would prevent me from securing a training contract, much less at a top city firm. Moreover, being an ethnic minority and not seeing many people who look like me within city law firms. Determined to succeed I joined several diversity organisations and developed a passionate for diversity as I believe that talent and capability exists in many forms.
As a result of the above, I am well aware of the formal and informal barriers that students may face when applying to law firms. I remain committed to assisting aspiring lawyers who want to break into the legal industry. I am happy to provide advice on applications as well as general insight on the legal profession. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any help.
