Trainee Solicitor | Pinsent Masons LLP

I am a Trainee Solicitor at Pinsent Masons. I am currently sitting in the Pensions and Long Term Investments team.
I read law at undergraduate level at University College London (UCL). Following that, I worked as a Legal Advisor at UnionLine (2016), then moved to Weightmans where I worked in the Employment team as a paralegal (2016 – 2018). As part of my role at Weightmans, I went on secondment to Whitbread Group PLC for six months. After that, I worked at Fieldfisher in the Employment, Pensions and Immigration team as a paralegal (2018). Whilst working at Fieldfisher, I received my training contract offer from Pinsent Masons then went on to study the LPC at the University of Law. Following completion of the LPC, I worked at Keepmoat Homes Limited as a paralegal within their Legal team.
As a first generation, state school educated, black trainee with an African background, I am extremely passionate about diversity and widening access to the legal profession. I strongly believes that it is important to have a society where people are able to progress based on merit alone, rather than other less relevant factors. In addition to the Aspiring Solicitors Professional Ambassador role, I also mentor student lawyers on a more informal basis.
