Profile:

I am an Associate in the M&A / Private Equity team at Skadden having completed the training contract in August 2020. During my Training Contract I did a secondment to our New York office where I sat in the M&A team, along with rotating in our Private Equity, Capital Markets and Banking teams. Prior to joining Skadden, I studied Law at Bristol University and undertook vacation schemes at Skadden, Latham & Watkins and Clifford Chance, along with completing a summer internship at Goldman Sachs.

Diversity is an area close to my heart having come from a working class family, where university was an unfamiliar topic given neither my parents advanced further than sixth form, and attended a state school in Dorset. I have been attending diversity events at various firms since sixth form and have subsequently begun mentoring students through the application process, interview preparation and giving practical advice once on vacation schemes and internships. Aspiring Solicitors is a fantastic organisation with a wealth of knowledge to help you access the legal profession and it provides an incredibly strong network of individuals who you can rely on throughout your future career.
