I joined the recruitment team at Goodwin in June 2021, and am currently the Early Careers Recruitment Manager here. I have previous early careers recruitment experience at Bird & Bird, BCLP and Irwin Mitchell.

After attending a local state school in Norwich, I completed my History degree at the University of Liverpool. I was not sure at this stage what direction my career would take, but completed a series of work placements and then interned in the recruitment team at Ralph Lauren.

Following this, I started working in graduate recruitment in law, firstly at Irwin Mitchell, and then at BCLP. Both of these experiences taught me a great deal, not only about recruitment but also about widening participation in the legal sphere. I continued to focus on this at Bird & Bird. During my time in the industry, I have worked on a range of programmes, initiatives, and events to increase inclusion within the workplace, and to support and assist students entering the profession. I will continue to focus on this in my role at Goodwin.

I am genuinely passionate about increasing diversity, and working to ensure that individuals’ backgrounds are not a barrier to their success. Many of my friends and network have been supported by organisations such as Aspiring Solicitors, so I truly believe in the work that they do. I believe that individuals should be able to be their authentic selves in the workplace, and be encouraged and supported to do so.
