Profile:

I am about to start the LPC at BPP in London and will start my training contract with Simmons & Simmons in August 2021. I studied History at Royal Holloway, University of London, and have recently completed the GDL at BPP.

I attended a state school in Kent, and when I left school I didn’t really know any lawyers or how to get a foot in the door of the legal industry. In my first year of University I attended a number of open days which gave me my first proper insight into the legal industry.

Through the Aspiring Solicitors Commercial Awareness Competition and the Aspire Programme I was able to further my commercial awareness and gain an insight into the legal industry. I was also fortunate enough to take part in the Barclays Legal Experience Week in 2018. These experiences and opportunities gave me the confidence to apply for Vacation Schemes as a non-law student from a non-Russell Group University, and ultimately helped me to obtain my Training Contract.

I strongly believe that the legal industry should be accessible to everybody, so am happy to answer any questions that you may have about Simmons & Simmons or law more generally.
