Law School Attended
Future Trainee Solicitor | Clyde & Co
- First Generation University
- Mixed Race
I am currently a final-year History undergraduate at the University of Warwick. I hold a conditional offer from the University of Oxford to pursue a one year Masters degree (MSc) in Contemporary Chinese Studies beginning in October 2018. Thereafter, I will embark on two years of law school (GDL+LPC) before commencing my role as a Trainee Solicitor at Clyde & Co LLP in August 2021.
My motivation for becoming a Professional Ambassador stems from the range of opportunities that Aspiring Solicitors provided me with the opportunity to pursue. I benefited significantly from a variety of events, including the Barclays Legal Experience Week, Springboard into Vs+, and the Commercial Awareness Competition. I was fortunate enough to build on these opportunities to complete two vacation schemes, including an international one in Singapore, before accepting a Training Contract offer with Clyde & Co. As a non-law applicant from a diverse background, these experiences enabled me to overcome the hurdles faced, especially in answering the ‘why law’ question that was frequently asked in the majority of the interviews I attended.
I believe that collaborating with Aspiring Solicitors to help those that come from diverse backgrounds is a truly rewarding experience and I am proud to be part of such a dynamic initiative.
