Profile:

State-school educated and growing up in the East Midlands with an accent, I first accessed Aspiring Solicitors with a lack of confidence about whether a career in Commercial Law was achievable for me. Fast forward 4 years, I am a Trainee Solicitor at the white-shoe firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, I recently completed the Msc LPC at the University of Law with a distinction and the BA Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford with a 2.i. I have interned for Human Rights NGO’s across Africa and Central America and completed Vacation Schemes at US and Silver Circle Law Firms in London. I also worked part-time in Legal Recruitment and as a Student Associate and Campus Ambassador for law firms and legal research organisations. I am currently studying for the July 2021 New York Bar Exam with the aim of dual-qualification.

I strongly believe that all individuals, no matter their background, should be given an equal chance at succeeding in the legal profession. Having benefitted from Aspiring Solicitors programmes such as ‘Spring into a Vacation Scheme’ and Arbitration and Commercial Awareness Workshops, I hope I can be a mentor and point of contact for the lawyers of the future.
