Associate | Hogan Lovells
- Born into a family of refugees
- State school educated
- Non-law degree
I trained at Hogan Lovells and joined their Real Estate Disputes team as an associate in September 2016. During my training contract, I sat in intellectual property, corporate finance, acquisition finance and real estate disputes. Now that I’ve qualified, I work on a wide variety of issues, ranging from commercial landlord and tenant disputes, advising on large-scale development projects and guiding clients through heated court cases.
My parents were refugees who came to the UK after the Vietnam War in the 1980s. I had a state school education and went onto study a non-law degree (Economics) at the University of Durham. As I know how difficult it can be to gain an insight into the legal profession with limited connections or networking opportunities, I would like to help make the law more accessible to people from all backgrounds. Please feel free to get in touch and I would be happy to speak to you about my journey into law.
