Profile:

I am an Associate at White & Case LLP, specialising in financial regulation. I was state school educated in Lancashire and subsequently attended Durham University, studying History with Spanish.  I was accepted for a training contract with White & Case LLP upon graduating in 2010, and I moved to London in 2013 after completing my GDL and LPC in Manchester.

Working at such a diverse, international firm like White & Case has really expanded my horizons on both a personal and professional level. During my training contract, I completed an overseas secondment in our New York office which was an incredible experience and one which I am very grateful to have had so early on in my career. I understand first-hand how overwhelming career decisions and training contract applications can seem and I’m especially aware of the perception that people from less privileged backgrounds are not able to succeed in City law firms (which I would strongly disagree with). I am very keen to offer my support and assistance to aspiring solicitors in any way that I can.
