I qualified as a corporate solicitor with PwC LLP in March 2016 with a particular focus on international business reorganisations. During my training contract, I completed seats in immigration, real estate, corporate and commercial litigation. I developed my interest in law when I studied law at A level. However, I was keen to pursue other interests at university reading Joint Honours English Literature and History at the University of Leeds.
After my degree, I was still determined to become a lawyer and so completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York, graduating in 2011. I graduated into the recession and found it really challenging to secure a training contract. I did not know what to expect from interviews or assessment centres and found them a daunting experience. I would have loved to have the opportunity to speak to a legal professional at the time, so I am very grateful to now be in a position where I can offer help to other aspiring solicitors out there. If you have any questions or need any guidance, please do reach out as I would be delighted to help.
