I am currently an Associate in the Private Equity and Financial Sponsors department at Travers Smith LLP. Prior to joining Travers Smith, I completed my training contract at CMS and qualified into their Corporate department in September 2018. During my training contract, I completed seats in Real Estate Transactions, Real Estate Disputes, Infrastructure & Projects, Corporate and Intellectual Property. I completed my undergraduate degree in Law at The London School of Economics and Political Science and graduated in 2015, after which I completed my LPC at BPP Holborn.
As the first in my family to attend university and pursue a career in law, I had very little experience of law firms or the professional environment before my interactions with organisations like Aspiring Solicitors. These organisations played a vital role in assisting me to meet firms at organised events and open days, alongside providing me with guidance during the vacation scheme/TC application and interview process.
I am passionate in my belief that the legal profession should be accessible to all. A diverse workforce is an asset to any organisation and I believe it must continue to be encouraged and actively promoted in law if we are to see the legal industry grow and develop.
I joined the Aspiring Solicitors Professional Ambassador programme because I am passionate about the importance of diversity in the legal industry and I am keen to help the next generation of lawyers by sharing my experiences with those who may face similar challenges. I would be happy to assist with queries about studying and pursuing a career in law so please get in touch if you would like to discuss.
