I am a Trainee Solicitor at Northridge with a specific focus on the sports sector. Growing up I had very little exposure to the legal profession and, as such, have followed an unusual route to securing my training contract.
Following my A-levels I spent two years playing college football in America, before returning to the UK to read Criminology at Durham University. It was during my Graduate Internship with IMG that I was first exposed to commercial work and as a result, decided to pursue a career in law. I spent the next few years seeking opportunities to increase my exposure and understanding of the sector by participating in the Mishcon de Reya Sports Law Academy, completing the BASL Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Law and securing an entry level role in the Regulatory Legal department at The Football Association.
I strongly believe that addressing the ever increasing need for diversity in the legal profession is vital to the growth and reputation of the industry. I intend to actively assist the excellent work of Aspiring Solicitors in promoting diversity, with the aim of ensuring that a career in law is accessible to all individuals, regardless of their background.
