Law School Attended
Future Trainee Solicitor | TLT Solicitors
- First generation lawyer
- Non-Russell Group graduate
I am a future trainee solicitor at TLT LLP. I have completed the LPC and am commencing my training contract with TLT LLP in March 2019. I graduated from Swansea University with first class honours in LLB Law and Business. Whilst at University, I was a Student Representative for the National Student Law Society, a Student Ambassador for Aspiring Solicitors, Secretary of the Law Society and Academic Representative for Law. I was fortunate enough to gain a vacation scheme placement at Peter Lynn & Partners and a summer internship at the UK Environmental Law Association. After graduation, I did some temporary cover work at Bevan Brittan LLP before securing a more permanent position as a Legal Assistant at TLT LLP.
Neither of my parents attended university and I am the first in my family to pursue a career in law. It soon became clear just how difficult it was to obtain legal work experience without already having contacts in the profession or without a perfect academic record. I realised that I would have to put in twice as much effort, make the most of every opportunity and try to develop skills/knowledge that set me apart from the crowd.
Being involved with organisations, such as AS, that provide access to a network of legal professionals of all levels, from all walks of life, has helped me enormously. If you have any questions about vacation schemes, interviews, working as a legal assistant/paralegal or anything else that I might be able to assist with; please don’t hesitate to contact me.
