Profile:

I’m a Black-African, British-Somali and Muslim woman. I’m a Trainee Solicitor at Bird & Bird. I went to a state school and grammar school sixth form in Birmingham. I studied Ancient History at King’s College London and I’m now studying the PGDL at the University of Law.

I’m an AS Mentor firstly because I received a lot of support on my journey and want to pay it forward. Secondly, I understand the nuances of what it’s like trying to navigate the legal sector whilst having many intersecting ‘diverse’ characteristics.

I’m happy to support in any way that I can, such as application advice, questions about the firm specifically, my experiences, and the challenges I have faced along the way.
