My diversity networks

Profile:

I am an associate in the employment team of Farrer & Co. After training and qualifying at Herbert Smith Freehills (in their London office) I joined Farrer & Co when I was two years qualified. During my training, I was seconded to HSF’s Paris office and to a client (each for a period of six months).

Before starting law school, I studied English Literature at the University of York and spent a year as a nanny in Paris (for a family with eight children!). I didn’t consider a career in law until towards the end of my time at university, so I didn’t have much relevant experience. This meant I quickly learned how to use the skills I had to my advantage in applications, drawing them out to explain how they would help me excel in the legal profession.

So much of succeeding in applications is about practice and knowing what firms are looking for. I am hoping that I can help Aspiring Solicitors cut through all the jargon, providing information and advice to those looking to pursue a career in law.
