I am a newly qualified solicitor in the Employment legal team at PwC. I completed my training contract at PwC, following a successful vacation scheme in the summer of 2013. I studied law at the University of Birmingham and graduated in 2013. Before that, I attended a state school in my small hometown and sixth form in Cambridge. Growing up, I didn’t know any lawyers and had no idea I wanted to become a lawyer until I finished the first year of my degree.
I have been a mentor on PwC’s Diversity Mentoring Scheme for the past two years and thoroughly enjoy sharing my legal journey with those who are just starting out. During my time at university, I was a mentor to three Year 10 students; I met with them weekly to talk about their higher education and career options. I am volunteering to be a Professional Ambassador because I realise the value in having a mentor figure in the legal industry for those who would ordinarily not have access to it. I am also passionate about coaching and development.
