Profile:
I have just qualified as a solicitor at Travers Smith. I studied Modern Languages at Oxford, at undergraduate and at master’s level, and in the summers took a variety of jobs and any legal experience I could, including volunteering at North Kensington and Lambeth Law Centres. I was offered a training contract during my Graduate Diploma in Law (‘GDL’). I went on to complete the Legal Practice Course (‘LPC’) and spend a year working as a paralegal in the Corporate department of Travers Smith before commencing my training contract. I found this to be a very useful and valuable experience.
As part of my training I sat in four departments: Pensions, Dispute Resolution, Corporate Finance and Derivatives and Structured Products. I have started qualified life in Dispute Resolution, which is busy, intense and interesting. The department is currently ranked in the top fifty litigation outfits in the world, and I am very excited about what the next few years will bring!
